- 200g of Sugar
- 480ml of Water
- 2 cinnamon sticks

Step by step
In a tall pot, place the bottle of Segura Viudas Brut Reserva cava, the water and the sugar and place over medium heat so that it melts. Add cinnamon and lemon rind. Meanwhile, peel the pears, leaving the stem uncut. Spray them with the juice so they do not blacken.
When the liquid reaches a boil, add the pears and cook them for half an hour or until they are soft. We also cook them with lemon peel and cinnamon, which provide an incredible aroma to the sweet syrup that ends up forming the cava after cooking it with the fruit.
Cooking time is approximate as it depends on the ripeness of the fruit and on its variety. Once cooked let them cool in the syrup and when they warm up, put them in the fridge until serving time.
