What is the difference between Brut and Brut Nature cava?

Discover the differences between Brut cava and Brut Nature cava.

The only difference between a Cava Brut and a Brut Nature is that the latter is not allowed to add sugar, and can have up to a maximum of 3 grams per litre normally from the sugar naturally present in the fruit.

Characteristics of Brut cava

According to the DO Cava, the Cava Brut has some characteristics of sweet entry, allows a greater amount of added sugar in the expedition liquor. The good acidity of the product makes this small amount of sugar barely perceptible, highlighting only its virtues and adding one more pairing option to the Cava range. Cava Brut is a great ally even for those foods that are difficult to pair with other wines. Ideal with Asian foods or with a spicy touch. A clear example, our complex, elegant and versatile Segura Viudas Brut Reserva.

Characteristics of Brut Nature cava

As for Cava Brut Nature, according to the DO Cava, the words “Brut Nature” on the label of a cava means that it does not contain added sugar.

It is Cava in its purest form: clean and bright, with a fresh entry and the perfect companion to harmonize an entire meal from start to finish. Ideal with dishes with a salty and/or fatty touch. Do not miss our soft and fresh Segura Viudas Lavit Brut Nature.
