Segura Viudas succesful in Catalunya – Giroví wines and sparkling contest

We are proud to announce that Segura Viudas has added a new success in the prestigious Catalan Wine and Sparkling Contest – Giroví 2021. Specifically, our Segura Viudas Brut Vintage Gran Reserva cava has received great gold in this competition held in Girona. Likewise, Segura Viudas Torre Galimany has been awarded a gold medal.

Segura Viudas Brut Vintage is a Gran Reserva cava with aromas of good intensity and complexity. Notes of ripe fruit and citrus tones appear on an elegant background of dried fruit and bakery provided by its correct yeast aging. In the mouth it is tasty, fresh and harmonious, with a good presence of fruit; it ends with the excellent taste sensations of a great aging cava.

For its part, Segura Viudas Torre Galimany is a cava with a fine bubble that slowly evolves on the surface of the glass where it forms beautiful and attractive bouquets. On the nose the fruit predominates over the wood and aromas of tropical fruit and white flowers appear on a spicy background. It offers a tasty entry into the mouth, long acidity that lasts in a pleasant and harmonious way, with a good presence of fruit and an integrated and creamy carbon.

Created by Agustí Ensesa, founder of the Colegio de Tastavins del Gironès, the Catalunya – Giroví Wine and Sparkling Wine Competition held its XXVI edition on June the 5th at the Hotel Carlemany in Girona with the participation of products from all the Catalan DOs. Giroví increases the number of competing wineries every year and has a grand jury made up of winemakers, sommeliers, winemakers, teachers and students from the School of Hospitality, vendors, distributors, restaurateurs.
The awards obtained demonstrate, once again, the commitment of Segura Viudas with the highest quality and demand in all its cavas and wines and with respect for the roots.
